Comic Tattoos
Marvel, DC, Dragon Ball Z, and anime characters pulled straight from the panels and brought to life on skin. Comic book and pop culture tattoos are a natural extension of the Japanese style — bold lines, flat color, strong composition. Every piece is custom and built for the individual wearing it.
Where pop culture meets the craft
I've been drawn to comic art and anime since long before I was tattooing. One of my earliest tattoos was a Spider-Man piece on my leg — and after all these years I'm still just as excited about this subject matter, now getting to put it on other people. There's something genuinely fun about pulling a character straight from the panels and making it work as a tattoo.
The technical overlap between comic book art and traditional Japanese tattooing is real — bold outlines, flat color fields, strong graphic composition. The same discipline that goes into a karashishi goes into a Venom. The approach is the same, the subject matter is different.
